David B. Cox is an accomplished Utility industry Executive with domestic and international experience in operations, engineering, asset management, digital plant technology, and growth market development. He has served in executive leadership roles in the U.S., South Africa, and the Asia Pacific with Accenture, a leading global digital technology and management consulting firm.

 

Leveraging over 30 years of experience taking corporate strategy from concept to operational reality, Dave collaborates with clients to formulate differentiated operational models, business processes, and digital technology enablers to innovate and drive business optimization, growth, and profitability for clients. His expertise is leading and supporting operational performance improvement for business transformation. He brings deep business development and functional expertise to accelerate successful client and market development.

As an industry leader, he works together with multiple ecosystem partners and Utility clients to help define strategies, technologies, and processes to enable the new Digital Power and Transmission markets. Prior to relocating back to the U.S., Dave had executive postings in South Africa, Malaysia, and Australia launching and leading new Utility practice areas in Africa and Asian Pacific.

Dave has a broad spectrum of experience across the Utility ecosystem having served in Executive positions in Utility Operations, Engineering and Environmental Services, Products, and currently a Senior Business advisor to industry executives.

Dave started his career as a Power Plant Engineer and ultimately became the Director of Engineering at a large Power and Transmission Utility company. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
